Entry #1~The sport I live for

What is a hobby? A hobby is activity someone likes to do frequently for their enjoyment. It can either be something someone is really good at doing or something someone is trying to get into. One of my hobbies is playing soccer. I first started playing when I was twelve years old. I have been playing for seven years now. Todays topic will be about soccer and what i find interesting about it.

Soccer is a game where there is two team with eleven people involved for each team on the field at a time and more on the sidelines if the team wishes. Every player has a different position, which are goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders, and forwards. The object of the game is to get a round ball into the other teams goal in less than 90 minutes with two 45 minute halves. Just like any sports there are rules to the game. One of the main rule is NO HANDS! The only person that could use their hand is the goalkeeper to prevent the other team from scoring a goal. Soccer brings a ton of people together to either watch a game or play together. Making friends is so much easier with soccer. Which is something that I find interesting. Soccer can help improve physical and mental fitness as it is used to get some exercise in and clear ones mind from all the stressed that person has. As a college student and employee, It could bring a lot of stress and the times where I am playing helps me relive the stress.

Soccer is one of the most known sports in the world. It has always helped me mentally and physically. People that play it and are around it consider soccer to be more than just a game because of how well it affects ones life. Soccer will always be one of my favorite hobbies.
